Your first week with dGENIX: from intake to your first scheduled task

An AI assistant delivers most when you do not let it do everything at once. Here is how to set up dGENIX in five working days, with one step each day that pays off straight away.

Why not everything on day one
When you get access to a new assistant, you want to try everything at once. Ten connections, twenty skills, five scheduled tasks. After a day you have seen a lot and used little.
An assistant only becomes truly useful once it knows your work. You build that up, step by step. Hence this plan: five working days, one part per day, and each day something you use straight away.
dGENIX is currently in early access. People on the waitlist get an invitation as soon as there is room. This plan is for the week after that.
Day 1: tell GENI who you are
After signing in you choose a plan and go through a short intake. In it you give your assistant a name, a role and a way of working: your tone, your field, what you care about.
Take that intake seriously. What you fill in here becomes your knowledge document, and GENI loads it in every conversation. An assistant that knows you run an installation company with three technicians in Eindhoven gives different answers than one that knows nothing.
The intake is followed by a tour of the platform. After that, do one thing: ask your first question about your own work.
"What are the three things I should tackle first this week, given what you know about my business?"
What it delivers: an assistant that knows who it is talking to from the first question.
Day 2: connect your mail and calendar
Go to Connectors and connect your Google account. You give consent per service separately, so you decide yourself whether GENI may see only your calendar or your mail as well. Read the consent screen; what it shows is explained in connecting tools safely.
Start with something that only reads:
"Summarise my unread mail and add what is in my calendar today."
Do not connect more than mail and calendar today. The rest comes once you have a concrete task that needs it.
What it delivers: your first daily overview, without scrolling through your inbox yourself.
Day 3: choose your first skills
A connection gives access, a skill gives actions. Go to Skills and activate three to five that match what you do every week. A few logical first choices:
| If you do a lot of... | Then activate |
|---|---|
| emailing and planning | Gmail, Google Calendar |
| reading documents | Document Reader |
| conversations | Audio Transcription or Voice Message |
| creating content | Social Media Manager, Content Repurposing |
| researching things | Deep Research |
You do not need to name a skill in your instructions. GENI chooses what it needs itself. How skills stack into a process is covered in stackable skills explained.
What it delivers: an assistant that does not only talk, but does things.
Day 4: build up the memory
Today, just work with GENI, and pay attention to one thing: say so when something is important to remember.
"Remember that I always send quotes within two working days." "Remember that my regular designer is called Lisa."
GENI stores facts, preferences and instructions like these in its memory. On the Memory page you see what it knows about you, and you adjust what is not right. Everything you do on the platform, from an audit to a completed task, lands there too.
Working for several clients or brands? Then create a project per client. The memory stays separate per project. You can read more in workspace and memory.
Put your Workspace to work too. Your notes and to-dos live there, and everything GENI does for you appears on the timeline. At the end of the day, ask: "What did I finish today and what is still open for tomorrow?" That shows you the memory does not only remember what you say, but also what you do.
What it delivers: an assistant you do not have to explain how you work to every time.
Day 5: your first scheduled task
Now comes the moment GENI does work without you asking. Take the instruction from day 2 that worked well, and schedule it.
Go to Tasks, create a new workflow or choose a template, and set:
- Instruction: "Summarise my unread mail and put today's appointments underneath."
- Frequency: working days, at eight
From Monday your daily overview is ready before you start. Why you begin with a reading task like this and not with something that sends is covered in which task to automate first.
What it delivers: a quarter of an hour back every working day, without doing anything for it.
And after that
After a week you have an assistant that knows you, reads your mail and calendar, uses a few skills and prepares an overview every morning. That is a good foundation.
From here you expand based on what you are missing. If you want to know how your website is doing in Google and AI search engines, a measurement with the SEO Engine or the GEO Engine is a logical next step. If you want to reach GENI on the go, activate Telegram. It is a free, optional add-on.
